A great Find was this probably Georgian 1830's - 1840's Portrait Brooch.
Fashioned from 15ct Yellow Gold with Copper with the Yellow Gold Border having embossed filigree, foliate & scrolling motifs.
The rear of the Brooch is domed, polished & features a modern 'C' clasp in white gold.
The picture has been removed from the centre of the Brooch, which was just a 'filler' having nothing to do with the original Brooch, which would no doubt have held the owner's hair.
The measurements are 37.9mm X 29.6mm.
